ABOUT THE IAGP CONGRESS
The IAGP Congress is an international assembly of professionals in the field of Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes which attracts 300-400 attendees from across the world, held every three years. The congress spans five days, including a pre-congress day and pre-and post-congress board meetings. The congress will offer keynote speakers, plenaries, seminars, workshops, research presentations and participatory research. The 2021 Congress follows the theme Groups For the World: Inspiration, Strength and Transformation and will be a place for mutual learning. The IAGP Congress focuses on providing a place for education and truly making our world a better place for all to live in.
Founded in 1973, the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP) is a worldwide network of professionals involved in the development of group psychotherapy and group processes in the areas of theory, clinical practice, training, education research and consultancy. Our network provides opportunities for meeting the others: professions, theories and cultures – who are exploring the applications of small, median and large group processes in clinical, organizational and political settings. These meetings have great potential for furthering international cooperation on training, research, clinical work and consultancy in a multicultural society.
